Coaching Cultures

What can Coaching offer an organisation?

What you can expect from coaching

coaching gives your life a better balanceCoaching consists of one-to-one developmental discussions and provides people with feedback on both their strengths and weakness. It is usually time-bound and focuses on the development of specific skills and goals.

Coaching can also offer much more, especially for people working in stressful and high pressured work environments.  Coaching can take a holistic approach, focusing on personal as well as professional development.

Clients often talk about competing demands and how to find a work-life balance that works for them. There is an opportunity to analysis where they are in their professional life and think about how they can move forward in their careers.

Often clients come when they are stuck, the coaching environment provides a place to review and assess complex and difficult scenarios at work.  It is a place to be heard and also challenged in a empathetic way, this can help clients to recognise their strengths as well as their limitations.

Coaching is an interactive process whereby the coach guides and facilitates the person being coached towards defined goals. The person being coached explores what they are doing, what works and what changes are required.

One of my clients explained how coaching had helped her to achieve her goals, she reflected that "coaching has challenged and supported me simultaneously, the coach leads whilst handing you the reins, it is not directive but inspires action by inviting the client to make a commitment to themself, to choose the best next step forward".
