HR Managers in the Corporate and Public Sector are commissioning coaching to develop the potential of their workforce. The wonderful thing about coaching is that anyone who is motivated and wants to make changes can benefit. It is also a professional development tool that can aid performance, help build working relationships and harness the diversity within an company, both for individuals and teams. Coaching can be used in different ways, for career development and to manage change as well as manage performance, which is a growing area of my work. I help clients to focus on 'what is real and what is perception' often the perception that clients hold of their own and others behaviours changes when they look under the surface. By exploring 'real work scenarios' clients can focus on the changes that they need to make, to work more effectively and also support their professional development. professional development.
Conflict arises out of fear, uncertainty and doubt, this is arguably one of the biggest causes of relationship breakdown, staff sickness and communication misunderstanding. Coaching assists managers in resolving demanding workplace scenarios, for example staff grievances, claims of discrimination and a rapidly teams to find their own solutions to problematic and complex work issues in a challenging, but safe space.
We all see the world through different 'cultural lenses' and I coach people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and professional roles. Everyone is unique and a 'coaching cultures' approach explores identity, role and how to make sense of complexity and change in the workplace. This can range from women moving into senior management positions to managers who want to enhance their competence in working with multi-ethnic teams. I also have expertise coaching people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds who wish to explore the additonal dynamics of equality at work.
